Psychologist and renowned burnout expert Tanja Lappi has been appointed CEO of Mindy Oy. Mindy became independent from Heltti on 1 September 2026 and now focuses entirely on mental wellbeing and therapy services. The company also includes Filosofian akatemia, which specialises in organisational development, and Shortum, a provider of therapy training.
Mindy offers individuals and organisations easy access to mental health support: preventive mental care, short-term therapy and psychotherapy from a network of professionals licensed by Valvira, the Finnish health care supervisory authority. As an independent company, Mindy builds its operations around one question: how can mental wellbeing services reach people at the right time, with the lowest possible threshold for seeking help?
Tanja Lappi is an expert in the wellbeing of working-age people. She is a co-founder of Heltti, a company that challenged the traditional model of Finnish occupational health care. Before that, she served as Director of Occupational Health Development at Terveystalo. Lappi is a licensed psychologist and business coach, and the author of the book Eroon työuupumuksesta (Overcoming Burnout, Alma Talent, 2022).
“At Mindy, we believe mental wellbeing services should be part of everyone’s journey of learning life and work skills,” says Tanja Lappi.
During autumn 2026 and spring 2027, Mindy will develop its services to make booking a first appointment and seeking help even easier. For organisations, Mindy offers its Mielenhuolto service, which allows employers to provide their staff with low-threshold mental health support.
